Got this last Tuesday evening from my home spot (within walking distance from home). Taken on the swing, dead drift, with a small baitfish fly I have been tying and using for decades. Fish was 28", and released.

Hey Jeff,
Nice fish, congrats. I knew they couldn't be too far away. That rod looks awful familiar.?

That's my Orvis Access switch rod, 8 wt 11'. It's a good all around choice for the beaches and estuaries around here. Got into the bluefish last night, a school of 4 to 6 pounders, fast action for a half hour then they were gone! Pretty early for bluefish, unusual. Hope you are well!

Things are good here, very busy with work. Got a Water Master Kodiak coming, and hoping to get out and get some fishing in soon with it. Glad to see you're into fish, and you're right, it is kind of early to have blues running through. Blessing in disguise? They tear up your flies pretty bad?
