Lodging is officially booked for an early August trip back up to the Gaspe. This will be our second time up there after cutting our teeth on some lowwwwwwww flowwwwwwws last year. I'll be doing a rain dance from now until then...

And I'm pumped too about this trip! Can't wait to try our luck again with those Atlantics. Should be another good time. Will also be doing the rain dance.

I'm really happy that you both have found Gaspe. It looks like none of this snow that we are about to have is going to get to Rene de' Matane. They are in need of a lot of snow right now.
For August the only factor will be rain as you are well aware. Last year I was there the week after you. The water was low and the fish were really tough. On our last night the rain came down hard and caused the Grande Tomogidi to run chocolate. We watched a fish landed in the pool and had to go. The fishing for the remainder of that week was superb. Four Hundred fresh fish entered the system.
That is the same week that you are booked.
You never know with Salar if they will come out and play. All you can do is try.
