I took a bit of time today to burn some Goose Shoulders, Gadwall Flanks and Mallard Flanks. All make great Spey hackles at a fraction of the cost.

Came across your video on burning spey hackle some time ago. I've been meaning to give it a try, but haven't gotten around to it yet. William, would you mind posting that one on here? I'd like to see it again, and I'm sure others would benefit from it too. Thanks in advance,
FF

Hey Rick-I have taken the video off line. I am going to remake one this week and post it again. Buying hackles that are long enough to wrap bodies is a very expensive deal. Being able to make my own in all the colors is really easy and should be don. I learned how from Nate over at SRO years ago and have been making them ever since. I'll get it done and will edit this thread so the reference is complete. William Here's the first fly from today's batch. The green body hackle is Goose Shoulder and the black collar is a Mallard Flank. The fly is a Green Butt Spey.
